This may be useful for students who have recorded lectures people who have recorded meetings etc. My take is that the 'Transcription' mode is for transcribing things recorded previously. As far as I can tell both modes work exactly the same except Record goes to the mic by default.

Why is it looking for audio from the system speakers? So to use that mode you have to start it, then click on the microphone, every time. I noticed that in that mode it defaults to looking for audio from the system speakers rather than the microphone. My initial impressions of AtTC (Audio to Text Converter) after some testing:ġ) I wanted to dictate to the computer & have it transcribe it, so in my first attempt I tried the 'Transcription' mode.
